A cold morning saw Solihull Navy’s take on the strong Norton Lindsay Colts.
A strong first half from Navy’s saw them play some scintillating, flowing football and a season-best performance saw the goals flow. A hatrick from man of the match Dunners, a brace from both James and Pricey and a solo from Elijah. The goal was also well guarded with a fine performance in goal from the SOTN winner Archie and stubborn defence from Brookesy and Poulters.
The second half saw the Navy’s take their foot off the gas and the Colts scored 3 unanswered goals. But there were still some great performances as the Navy’s shuffled player positions. Poulters showed incredible bravery in goal, Dunners distribution from defence was on point, Brooksey commanded his more central position, Elijah showed what an engine he has by covering all over the pitch, Pricey was rapid down the flank and James swivelled and dribbled and unlucky not to score with Archie showing endeavour upfront.
Final kick of the game saw Pricey score his hatrick as the Navy’s finished as they had started.
A great performance from the boys 👏👏👏
